Primarily, I decided to buy the BJE200XL juicer because of my wife. She read a book on the benefits of raw fruits and vegetables, and has been bugging me ever since to buy a juicer.
Years ago, we had an old "Mr Juiceman" model that we bought after listening to an infomercial. Unfortunately, we didn't use it as much as we should, and it mostly collected dust. I do remember, though, that it was NOTHING compared to the Breville BJE200XL!
The problem my wife and I had, was we didn't know where to look for a juicer these days. My wife knows a woman from our church who is a bit of a health "nut", so she approached her on the subject of finding a good juicer.
She told us that recently she had gotten a new juicer that she LOVED, and said the model was a Breville Juice Fountain BJE200XL. I remember saying to myself, "Breville BJE200XL, what the heck is a juice "fountain?"
Well, it wasn't long before we knew quite a bit about the Breville BJE200XL. Our friend from church suggested we go online and check Amazon.com, for reviews and prices.
So, after reading several positive reviews, and one absolutely GLOWING BJE200XL review, we decided to order the Breville BJE200XL through Amazon.com. We even saved 31.01 on the deal!
The Breville BJE200XL Takes Juicing To The Next Level!
The Breville Juice Fountain BJE200XL is a real powerhouse, especially compared to our old "Mr. Juiceman." It is so powerful I usually don't even use the pusher except to cover the top so your ceiling doesn't get covered with pulp. Our old juicer required constant work on the pusher because the motor was not powerful enough for certain fruits and vegetables.
The .Breville BJE200XL has a 700 watt motor, for gosh sakes, which is powerful enough to put in my s.u.v! (just kidding)
The design of this unit is amazing. It must have been designed at N.A.S.A! I love the fact that the basket can be removed without any tools. Removing the basket from our "Mr. Juiceman", was a bonified nightmare! The basket in the Breville BJE200XL is partially secured by magnets!
Now, how high tech is that?
The pulp from the BJE200XL is a little wetter than our "mr. Juiceman." The "Juiceman" had a much larger basket and a much slower rotation. I believe that may be the reason. But it is really just a small detail.
The Breville BJE200XL makes tiny pieces of pulp though ,and my experience so far has been that it gets plenty of juice from a pound of carrots
